Built on Hard Work. Driven by Solutions.

The Right Contractor. Less Worry.

When clients call Interstate Contracting & Restoration, we want them to feel two things: they found the right contractor and they no longer have to worry about the problem.

For more than 35 years, we have built our reputation by standing behind our work, solving difficult challenges, and treating our clients honestly and fairly.

We are not always the cheapest contractor, and we do not try to be. Our focus has always been on delivering quality work, providing fair pricing, and being the company that shows up when something needs to be made right.

Where It Started

From a High School Side Hustle to a Full-Service Restoration Company.

My journey started in high school when my friend Tom Dinorsio and I began power washing homes and decks throughout New Jersey. We handed out flyers, knocked on doors, and worked hard to build a small business that would eventually become Interstate Power Washing LLC.

While attending Rutgers University, I continued growing the business while gaining hands-on experience in the field. During a year in Florida, I worked for a contractor specializing in the cleaning of water and chemical storage tanks.

After returning to New Jersey, I purchased my partner's share of the business and committed myself to growing Interstate into a long-term company.

How the Company Grew

Commercial Building Cleaning, Waterproofing, Restoration, and More.

As the business expanded, we moved from residential power washing into commercial building cleaning, waterproofing, restoration, and specialty exterior construction.

Facade Restoration

Exterior restoration, masonry repair, and building envelope work for commercial, condominium, institutional, and historic properties.

Waterproofing

Above-grade and below-grade waterproofing, coatings, sealants, and water-intrusion solutions built for long-term performance.

Specialty Exterior Construction

Work that demands the right access, equipment, materials, coordination, and field leadership from start to finish.

Problem Solvers First

We Take Ownership of Difficult Projects.

If there is one thing that separates us from many contractors, it is our willingness to tackle difficult projects. The bigger the challenge, the more motivated I become to find a solution.

Our clients know they do not have to babysit us. They know we have built a strong team of project managers, supervisors, and skilled craftsmen who take ownership of every project.

Most importantly, they know that if an issue arises, we are not going to spend our time making excuses. We are going to solve the problem.

Projects We Are Proud Of

Milestones That Shaped the Company.

These projects reflect the type of challenges Interstate has grown around: strict requirements, historic materials, complex access, and work that has to be done correctly.

01

Barnegat Lighthouse Restoration

One of the most challenging projects in our company's history required extensive paint removal while complying with strict EPA and historical preservation requirements. We designed and implemented a custom closed-loop water reclamation system that captured, filtered, and recycled every drop of water used during the restoration process.

02

Princeton Battlefield Colonnade Restoration

This project involved dismantling, repairing, and replicating damaged marble while preserving the historical integrity of the structure. During the restoration, we discovered a hidden time capsule containing documents from the 1950s.

03

Manhattan Bridge Cleaning Project

One of our most memorable early projects involved cleaning both the roadway surface and underside of the Manhattan Bridge in New York City. It remains a significant milestone and demonstrated our ability to perform large-scale work in complex environments.

Investing in the Future

Equipment, Technology, and Drone Services.

Throughout our history, we have never been afraid to invest in our capabilities. Today, Interstate owns and operates a substantial fleet of specialized equipment, including aerial lifts, excavators, skid steers, backhoes, and tractor trailers.

We have also embraced new technologies through Interstate Drone Services. By combining decades of restoration experience with advanced drone technology, we provide aerial inspections, thermal imaging, mapping, drone cleaning, construction documentation, and videography services that help clients make smarter decisions while reducing risk and cost.

Meet the Owner

Driven by Learning, Craft, and the Next Challenge.

I have always been driven by one thing: learning. Whether it is construction, restoration, technology, equipment, drones, or an entirely new challenge, I have never been the type of person who can simply scratch the surface of something. When I find something that interests me, I want to understand it completely.

I am most proud of my family, the team we have built, and the relationships we have developed over the years. I try to approach both business and life with honesty, fairness, and an open mind.

When I am not working, you will usually find me outdoors. Hunting, fishing, hiking, and exploring remote places have always been a passion of mine. I have been fortunate enough to travel throughout the American West, Alaska, Canada, Patagonia, and Africa pursuing outdoor adventures. I also enjoy motorcycles, dirt bike riding, and motorsports whenever I have the chance.

Why I Still Do This

This Work Has Never Been Just a Job.

People often ask why, after more than 35 years in business, I am still excited to come to work every day. The answer is simple: I genuinely love what I do.

I enjoy meeting new people, seeing unique projects, and finding solutions to challenges that others may not know how to approach.

What gives me the greatest satisfaction is knowing that the work we do today will still be standing years from now. Whether we are restoring a historic monument, waterproofing a building, or preserving a structure for future generations, we are helping protect pieces of history that my grandchildren - and hopefully their grandchildren - will be able to see someday.

As long as I can continue learning, solving problems, and helping clients, I will keep doing what I love.

Our Promise

Be Honest. Do Quality Work. Stand Behind What We Do. Solve Problems.

For more than three decades, that has been our mission and the foundation of everything we do.
